Gene expression profile in prostate cancer xenograft tumors after FGFRL1 knockdown

(Submitter supplied) FGFRs regulate PCa development and progression, but the role of the recently found FGFR-like 1 (FGFRL1) remains unclear. The data consists of gene expression profiles of mouse subcutanous xenograft tumors generated of human PC3M prostate cancer cells with stable knockdown of FGFRL1 gene and of the control xenografts.

Gene expression profile in prostate cancer cells after FGF13 or FGFRL1 knockdown

(Submitter supplied) FGFRs regulate PCa development and progression, but the role of the recently found FGFR-like 1 (FGFRL1, FGFR5) remains unclear. The data consists of gene expression profiles of FGF13 and FGFRL1 knock-down PC3M prostate cancer cells compared to control cells.

Effects of FGFRL1 knockdown on gene expression in ovarian cancer cell lines

(Submitter supplied) Analysis of ovarian cancer cell lines after knockdown of FGFRL1 using SiRNA. To elucidate the signaling pathways that were significantly altered following the silencing of FGFRL1 expression, we performed global gene profiling experiments of the OVCAR8 and ES2 cells after knockdown of FGFRL1 using siRNA. We conducted pathway analysis with the differentially expressed genes using R in two OC cells.

Effects of FGFRL1 deficiency on oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma cells

(Submitter supplied) Several genes were indicated as genes strongly affected by FGFRL1-deficiency, through expression profiling of a total of 25,000 genes in 2 wild type KYSE520 human oesphageal squamous cell carcinoma cells and 2 FGFRL1-deficient kYSE520 cells

A Novel Androgen Receptor Splice Variant Is Upregulated during Prostate Cancer Progression

(Submitter supplied) The androgen receptor (AR) plays a key role in progression to incurable androgen-ablation resistant prostate cancer (PCA). We have identified three novel AR splice variants lacking the ligand binding domain (designated as AR3, AR4 and AR5) in hormone insensitive PCA cells. AR3, one of the major splice variants expressed in human prostate tissues, is constitutively active and its transcriptional activity is not regulated by androgens or antiandrogens. more...

Characterizing the molecular features of ERG-positive tumors in primary and castration resistant prostate cancer

(Submitter supplied) This study examined ERG expression in primary PCa and CRPC. We have identified altered levels of inflammatory mediators associated with ERG expression and a novel ERG-associated protein, DCLK1, which may play a role in primary PCa progression to metastatic CPRC.

Gene expression profiles of PNT1a prostate cells expressing FGFR-4 Arg388 or Gly388.

(Submitter supplied) We have shown that in PNT1a cells expressing exogenous FGFR4 Arg388 or Gly388 under the control of the EF1 promoter almost all FGFR signaling can be attributed to the transfected receptor, and the two FGFR-4 isoforms are expressed at equivalent levels in the two cell lines. Furthermore, we have shown that serum contains abundant FGFs capable of activating FGFR-4 so these initial experiments were carried out in serum to mimic physiological conditions. more...

Gene expression profiling of LNCaP cells following shRNA-mediated knockdown of TMEFF2 and growth in presence and absence of dihydrotestosterone

(Submitter supplied) TMEFF2 is an androgen regulated transmembrane protein mainly restricted to brain and prostate, that functions as a tumor suppressor in prostate cancer (PCa). Studies using publically available prostate cancer (PCa) datasets, reveal changes in the expression of TMEFF2 with disease stage, supporting an important role of TMEFF2 in this disease. However, the role of TMEFF2 in the biology and pathogenesis of PCa is still unknown. more...
