Synchronous and metachronous liver metastases from colorectal cancer

Analysis of synchronous and metachronous liver metastatic lesions from colorectal cancer (CC). The liver is a common site of metastases from CC. Synchronous metastatic lesions arise less than 6 months after the resection of the primary tumor, metachronous lesions arise 6 months after resection.

Gene expression profiling of liver metastases from colorectal cancer

(Submitter supplied) At present, medical treatments of synchronous and metachronous liver metastases from colorectal cancer are not differentiated. The aim of the study was to analyze the gene expression profiling of synchronous and metachronous lesions in order to identify molecular signatures as possible basis for choice of systemic therapies.
