Next Generation Sequencing measuring Nod-like receptors mRNA expression in intestinal epithelial cells

(Submitter supplied) Intestinal epithelisal cells were obtained by EDTA isolation of ileum from WT mice followed by facs sorting (EpCAM + CD45 – 7AAD – ). Raw sequencing reads were aligned to the mouse genome (mm10) with Tophat , and gene expression levels were measured by Cufflinks .

Transcriptome analysis of human airway epithelium infected by Human Bocavirus 1

(Submitter supplied) Human Bocavirus 1(HBoV1), which belongs to the genus Bocaparvovirus of the family Parvoviridae, infects well differentiated human airway epithelium which is at mitotically quiescent state. To systematicaly investigate the interaction between HBoV1 and primary human airway epithelium cultured at an air-liquid interface (HAE-ALI), RNA-seq was applied to study the transcriptome profile of HAE-ALI infected by HBoV1.

Microbiota-dependent gene expression in small intestinal epithelial cells (IECs)

(Submitter supplied) Intestinal epithelial cells were isolated from total small intestine of each four 28-day old conventionally raised (conv) and germ-free (GF) bred C57BL/6 mice (protocol according to: Lotz et al., J. Exp Med. 2006). Total RNA was isolated by TriZol and ist purity was examined using a Bioanalyszer. We used microarrays to comparatively detail the global gene expression in primary total isolated intestinal epithelial cells.

Age-dependent gene expression in isolated small intestinal epithelial cells (IECs)

(Submitter supplied) Intestinal epithelial cells were isolated from total small intestine of each four 3- and 21-day-old C57BL/6 mice (protocol according to: Lotz et al., J. Exp. Med. 2006). Each two 3- and 21-day-old animals were obtained from one litter. Total RNA was isolated by TriZol and ist purity was examined using a Bioanalyszer. We used microarrays to detail the global gene expression in primary total isolated intestinal epithelial cells of 3- versus 21-day-old mice.

Rotavirus susceptibility of antibiotic-treated mice ascribed to diminished expression of IL-22

The difference between intraepithelial mast cells and lamina propria mast cells (ATAC-seq)

(Submitter supplied) Type 2 immune responses are crucial for protection against helminth infections and for the maintenance of tissue homeostasis, yet the underlying mechanisms of immune activation remain incompletely understood. Here, we study the role of mast cells in type 2 immunity. While the number of lamina propria residing mast cells (termed LPMCs hereinafter) remained stable, intraepithelial mast cells (termed IEMCs hereinafter) markedly expanded during the course of type 2 responses. more...
