Definition

An extragonadal nongerminomatous malignant germ cell tumor that arises from the mediastinum and is composed of two or more germ cell tumor types. It manifests with respiratory distress, thoracic pain, cough, superior vena cava syndrome, or hoarseness. [from NCI]
