1.

Glioblastoma

Glioblastomas are malignant astrocytic tumors (grade IV according to the WHO classification). [from ORDO]

MedGen UID:

Neoplastic Process
2.

EGFR-related lung cancer

3.

Glioblastoma multiforme

A tumor arising from glia in the central nervous system with macroscopic regions of necrosis and hemorrhage. Microscopically, glioblastoma multiforme is characterized by regions of pseudopalisading necrosis, pleomorphic nuclei and cells, and microvascular proliferation. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
301585
Concept ID:
C1621958
Neoplastic Process
4.

Glioma

The presence of a glioma, which is a neoplasm of the central nervous system originating from a glial cell (astrocytes or oligodendrocytes). [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
9030
Concept ID:
C0017638
Neoplastic Process
5.

Neoplasm of brain

A benign or malignant neoplasm that arises from or metastasizes to the brain. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
14216
Concept ID:
C0006118
Neoplastic Process
6.

Malignant neoplasm of brain

A primary or metastatic malignant neoplasm affecting the brain. [from NCI]

MedGen UID:
57796
Concept ID:
C0153633
Neoplastic Process
7.

Oligoastrocytoma

Oligoastrocytoma is a type of low-grade glioma with a mixed astrocytoma and oligodendroglioma histology, manifesting with headaches, speech and motor problems, seizures and, in some, subarachnoid haemorrhage. [from ORDO]

MedGen UID:
154285
Concept ID:
C0547065
Neoplastic Process
8.

Astroblastoma

A very rare glial neoplasm of the central nervous system, most often with an intra-axial peripheral supratentorial location in one hemisphere of the frontal or parietal lobes and usually presenting in infants and young adults with symptoms of vomiting, loss of consciousness, epileptic seizures and headaches. [from ORDO]

MedGen UID:
90811
Concept ID:
C0334587

9.

Neoplasm of the central nervous system

A neoplasm of the central nervous system. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
88335
Concept ID:
C0085136
Neoplastic Process
10.

Protoplasmic astrocytoma

A rare variant of diffuse astrocytoma. It is predominantly composed of neoplastic astrocytes showing a small cell body with few, flaccid processes with a low content of glial filaments and scant GFAP expression. This lesion is not well defined and is considered by some authors as an occasional histopathological feature rather than a reproducibly identifiable variant. When occurring in children, this neoplasm may be difficult to separate from pilocytic juvenile astrocytoma. (Adapted from WHO) [from NCI]

MedGen UID:
87268
Concept ID:
C0334580
Neoplastic Process
11.

Neuroepithelial neoplasm

A neoplasm composed of neural epithelium, not necessarily a neoplasm located in the neural epithelium or neuroepithelium. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
60215
Concept ID:
C0206715
Neoplastic Process
12.

Neoplasm of the nervous system

A tumor (abnormal growth of tissue) of the nervous system. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:
45046
Concept ID:
C0027766
Neoplastic Process
13.

Astrocytoma

Astrocytoma is a neoplasm of the central nervous system derived from astrocytes. Astrocytes are a type of glial cell, and thus astrocytoma is a subtype of glioma. [from HPO]

MedGen UID:

Concept ID:
