Gene expression level of HEI-286 Schwann cells and MiaPaCa-2 pancreatic cancer cells

(Submitter supplied) We report the transcriptome analysis of HEI-286 human Schwann cells and MiaPaCa-2 pancreatic cancer cells Nerves stimulate cancer progression for different cancer types, promoting both tumor growth and perineural invasion, a prominent process in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. Yet little is known about how cells in the nerves contribute to cancer progression. Here we demonstrate that Schwann cells, the most abundant cell type in nerves, collectively function as tumor activated Schwann cell tracks (TASTs). more...

Transcriptional profiling of primary human keratinocytes treated with interferon gamma and/or infected with HSV-2 using Illumina beadarray

(Submitter supplied) We aim to analyze the transcriptional profiles of primary human keratinocytes in response to interferon gamma (IFNG) treatment and/or HSV-2 (strain HG-52) infection. The goal is to define IFNG regulated intrinsic immunity of primary human keratinocytes and how HSV-2 infection regulates the intrinsic immunity of primary human keratinocyte.

Aflatoxin B1 attenuates endocrine function, protein synthesis and energy production of human primary trophoblast

(Submitter supplied) Aflatoxin B1 (AFB1) is a mycotoxin produced by Aspergillus flavus and A. parasiticus. AFB1 targeted gene expression profiles were determined in human primary trophoblast cells, isolated from full term placentae after delivery, and exposed to 1 µM AFB1 for 72 hours. Transcriptome Analysis of Bladder Cancer Cell Persistently Infected by Newcastle disease virus (NDV)

(Submitter supplied) This project seeks to determine if there is a difference in expression between bladder cancer cells vs NDV-resistant bladder cancer cells. This result provides insight of the orchestrated transcriptomic changes that occur in the development and maintenance of NDV persistency of infection, which can be an useful resource for future downstream analysis of the identified targets.

Molecular mechanism of EPC1-PHF1 fusion protein (Microarray Homo Sapiens)

(Submitter supplied) In this study, we characterize the fusion protein produced by the EPC1-PHF1 translocation in Low Grade Endometrial Stromal Sarcoma (LG-ESS) and Ossifying FibroMyxoid Tumors (OFMT). We express the fusion protein and necessary controls in K562 Cells. The fusion protein assembles a mega-complex harboring both NuA4/TIP60 and PRC2 subunits and enzymatic activities and leads to mislocalization of chromatin marks in the genome, linked to aberrant gene expression.

Integrative genomic meta-analysis reveals novel molecular insights into cystic fibrosis and ΔF508-CFTR rescue

(Submitter supplied) Cystic fibrosis (CF), caused by mutations to CFTR, leads to severe and progressive lung disease. The most common mutant, ΔF508-CFTR, undergoes proteasomal degradation, depleting its anion channel function. “Proteostasis” pathways, i.e. those relevant to protein processing and trafficking, are altered in cells with ΔF508-CFTR and can be modulated to partially rescue protein function. However, many details regarding proteostasis modulation, and its relevance to CF and ΔF508-CFTR rescue, remain poorly understood. more...

Knockdown of interleukin-33 in human fibroblasts

(Submitter supplied) Interleukin (IL)-33 is a cytokine that appears to mediate fibrosis by signaling via its receptor ST2 (IL-33R/IL1RL1). It is also, however, a protein that after synthesis is sorted to the cell nucleus, where it appears to affect chromatin folding. Here we describe a novel role for nuclear IL-33 in regulating the fibroblast phenotype in murine kidney fibrosis driven by unilateral ureteral obstruction. more...

Gene expression data from study on the role of DISC1 607 variants on immune responses against Toxoplasma gondii

(Submitter supplied) A major mental illness-related susceptibility factor, Disrupted in schizophrenia (DISC1), is involved in altered host immune responses against Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) infection. Specifically, our gene expression studies have revealed that DISC1 Leu607Phe variation, which changes DISC1 interaction with activating transcription factor 4 (ATF4), modifies gene expression patterns upon T. gondii infection.
