Analysis of clinical bladder cancer classification according to microarray expression profiles

Breast carcinomas and local recurrence

Analysis of primary breast carcinoma tumors from 50 patients who received breast-conserving therapy (BCT). 19 patients subsequently developed a local recurrence of the carcinoma. 9 recurrent tumors also examined. Compared to mastectomy, BCT is associated with a higher rate of local recurrence.

Comparative study of gene expression in human colorectal cancer tissues and normal mucosa

(Submitter supplied) The purpose of our study was to better understand the genetic mechanism of oncogenesis for human colorectal cancer and to identify potential new tumour markers of use in clinical practice. Results: Comparing cancerous tissues with normal colonic mucosa we identified 584 known genes (3%) differentially expressed to a significant degree (p<0.001).
